I don't think the 20 vs 24mpx will make a big difference, but maybe there are a few other things that are worth considering.
Regarding longevity, some entry level cameras had a common fault with the aperture lever, and I think the KS-2 was affected too. I'm not up-to-date on whether the K70 has a similar issue, but that might be something to take into consideration.
If you're happy buying used equipment, the K5 or K3 are also excellent cameras and can be had for a good price.
