I have been playing with my 250 Raynox (Complete novice by the way) on a 70-210mm. It is an old one so that would effectively make it a 315mm lens. It works, but the field of view is tiny.
As has been shown in a previous photo. It is great fun, but very little of the object is in focus.
This is a Daisy (Not my best shot but it shows the point quite well). The centre yellow part of the flower is approx 7mm.
You can see that very little of it is in focus.

What monster have you released? :)
I am a man on a budget and was hoping to get an old macro lens, but to get one that is any good still costs a bit doesn't it?
Then I came across this thread........ I have now taken the plunge...... These Raynox are just so much fun.
I have only had it a day (and only had time for a dozen quick shots) and today all I can think of is playing with my new toy.:)
Nothing else.
Seriously though, thanks for all your information, it encouraged me to get this.
I am so glad I did.
