Nice shots , the tree shot is Awesome. I have the same Lens and use it on the A7R with an Adaptor , it has the nicest / Cleanest StartBurst next to smc DA15.

Thank you Homo_erectus , That was from a Roof top of a House in Sydney's eastern Suburb. I was glad I took my Sigma 70-200 with me to get enough reach for the fireworks

Thank you paul , I haven't shot with this lens for a long while , it has fungus inside one of the elements and they're quite visible. optically its not affecting the image.

Welcome to the club sonic , that was the lens I was looking at prior to purchasing my sigma 10-20 , geez the BMW 2002 brings back a lot of childhood memories.very nicely restored.

Just a quick Tutorial of landscape/Seascape Photography
1. Choose a location that you'd like to shoot
2. Select the lens
3. Compose the shot and frame and get a focus with camera on Tripod
4. Switch back to Manual Focus "MF" mode
5. Wack on the ND filter and take a shot.:D
if you're doing sunrise shots out in the surf and want to get some nice movement in the water , select your ISO and Aperture until you have a shutter speeds around 0.5 - 0.8 sec and you'll get some nice movement , a Grad ND would be nice to make the sky and clouds a little more dramatic. look forward to seeing some of your shots!!;)
