Have any of you 135mm lens buffs ever shot a Makinon 135mm lens? I got this item in a lot buy and I've never tried it out. Just curious about it and it's capabilities. I know I could read about it in the reviews, but I'd rather hear it from someone I'm a little familiar with. Most of the reviewers are complete strangers to me and for the most part, the only post they've ever left on PF was to review a lens.

A very alluring woman, indeed! :) She reminds me of the American actress, Jody Foster. Nice shot, Jorgario.

Peace Froggy, I second Dragon's comment about the photo of the guitarist. Very nice composition and lighting. Great sharpness, too.

Welcome to our crazy bunch.

Tess, I currently have Takumar f:2.5, 135mm and Sears f:2.8, 135mm lenses in my inventory that have seen little use, but your amazing photos are so inspiring, I'm driven to take them out and spend the entire day with them alone! Magnificent work. Stunning bokeh and composition. Thanks for sharing these wonderful images. Show us more!

Great shots, Jody. A couple of handsome youngsters you've got there. Children and their innocence are so precious. Thanks for sharing.

I cut my teeth on a ME Super many years ago, but didn't get my first DSLR, a K2000 until about two years ago. I used the kit lenses for a while, then began trying some of my manual lenses from the film days. I had a Takumar (Bayonet) f:2.5, 135mm and took it out into the neighborhood this afternoon. Both of these shots are almost full frame - probably close to 90% on both. Also, there was very little PP on either. I used a CP filter on the flowers. If the cat was in focus as much as the paint chips on the wood are, I'd be satisfied. I love using this focal length lens as it seems to force me to work harder - to pay more attention to composition and details than other lenses.

The cat was shot with an ISO of 200. The red flowers were shot with an ISO of 800.

I just bought a f/2.5-135mm Asahi Takumar lens for $28.00. It's in "like new" condition, but I have not been able to shoot any photos with it yet. I'm new to DSLR cameras and I'm still trying to figure out how to use in on my new (to me) Pentax K2000 body. It is a very impressive looking piece of glass and I'm anxious to use it. When I get things sorted out, I'll post some examples.
