Duncan, By external colors I was referring to the lighting on the outside of the hospital building. The destinct orange cast reminded me of high pressure sodium lighting.
As to the colors, they are to your taste and that is what counts most. My preference is in a different direction as I don't necessarily photograph architecture, more nature and organic things.

Were there HP Sodium lights outside?
The magenta one was a car going by I guessing?
Really liked the chandalier/shadow composition.
2,3,6,7 I liked your alternative perspective.
