I'd echo what BigMackCam says in looking for an A series lens as an alternative. In my experience I've found that the DA 50 does not work too well with the K200D's autofocus. Results can be pretty hit or miss so now I've gone back to using my old A50 1.7 on that body. The DA lens does work very well on my K-r though.

I've found the 16-45 plays really well with the K200D and I get a lot of keepers from that combination. Although the lens is big it's not that heavy meaning it's light enough to take on hikes. The focal range is quite versatile and the extra 2mm on the wide end really make a difference. While the 16-85 offers this and more it's quite pricy whereas the 16-45 can be found for a lot less.
