Nobody can answer that for you. You are the one who knows what kind of pictures you like to take and if that focal length is right for you. I think I would go for it since I often take pictures in that focal length range, but that is a personal call. Good luck solving your dilemna.

You are wrong. The Sigma 70-200 will look like a 70-200 on a 35 mm SLR, but will look like a 105-300 an an APS-C dSLR. The fact that the lens was designed with a FF format in mind doesn't change anything to the field of view. What makes the difference is the size of the sensor (film).
