She says this because the "deal" was new and there's a strong likelihood that none of the orders have shipped yet. How convenient :)

Yes, but there has been no attempt or discussion about reaching a compromise. The ONLY effort being put forward by Helen and Adorama is to argue legalities and tell customers they are out of luck. Meanwhile, I can't buy anything else because they have my funds tied up and they have caused me to miss out on another deal.
You wouldn't put up with that kind of "service" at your local grocery store. Why should we be expected to put up with it from one of the biggest retailers of electronics and photographic equipment online?

So, Helen, you would rather come on here and argue legalities with the good people who trusted you than make right or even attempt to "do right" and reach a compromise on the basis of "good business" in light of your company's own (questionable) "mistake"?
If you send that cancellation excuse tomorrow, I'll be sure to tell EVERYONE at EVERY review site I can tap my keyboard at just how well you "take care" of your customers. Better Business Bureau, Google, Yelp, Yahoo, Epinions, ResellerRatings, CNet, Bizrate, RipOffReport, ComplaintsBoard, PriceGrabber, TrustPilot...need I go on? I have never blacklisted a company from all of my business, but you are giving me serious motivation to. Everything you're saying flies in the face of "customer service".
This was supposed to be an easy transaction where I felt like I got a good deal and could wait excitedly for my new camera to arrive in a few days. Unfortunately, you've turned it into a nightmare and, because you placed a hold on my funds, I was unable to purchase the local deal I was arranging when your "bundle" came available.
Shame on you for being so insensitive.

Who is expected to be the "adult" here...Adorama and its employees who made the alleged "error" or the consumers who put their faith and money in Adorama's hands assuming they were getting a good deal? ;) Some of you act like those who placed orders were intentionally seeking to harm the company, which is a disgusting and shortsighted assumption.
Ultimately, it's not entitlement that causes the frustration, it's trust. And whatever happened to "good business"?
I'm the most forgiving guy in the world...my wife would say to a fault. But, there are times when I have to put my foot down for my own sake and I certainly have a right to question the circumstances surrounding a situation as this. I passed up a great local deal on a K-3 and lens because I went for this bundle. Now I may be out both.
On a side note, I DO appreciate Helen entering the war zone and attempting to interface with affected and potential buyers to keep this issue from becoming bigger than it already is. Hopefully this situation will be resolved quickly and reasonably.

Wrong. The deal is only "average" without the lens. The same "bundle", less the lens, has been available on B&H for a couple months now. Plus, at B&H, you can add an AF-540 flash for just $70 more and they have a myriad of lenses at "bundle" prices, which makes them better than Adorama's.
Also, I didn't stumble on the deal here...I had already ordered the K-3/18-135 bundle last night before I came to the forums and saw that it had been posted here.
The "mob mentality" is all in your head. People who over-generalize the intentions of fellow photographers and the frustrations of honest, budget-minded consumers who place orders in "good faith" with "trusted" authorized retailers, only to have the retailer quietly attempt to dishonor the purchases on the basis of a typographical error when the same information is clearly stated in 3 different locations on the item page, "makes me a little bit sick" ;)
I went to bed happy. I woke up excited. Now I'm frustrated. I thought I had a deal in the bag, now I'm not so sure. Your input wasn't constructive and the issue remains between Adorama and its "customers".

They took the money out of my bank account after I placed the order. I took screenshots, including the "what's included?" summary. How is it a "typo" if it's entered in the title and the description and the detail page?
Adorama is going to lose my business permanently if they default on this "bundle". Without the 18-135, you can get the same "bundle" elsewhere, plus you can add an AF-540Z flash for just $70 more at B&H! C'mon Adorama...man up!
