Mine (18/55) has a little play that seems normal for an autofocus lens. I wouldn't call it a wobble unless it was a lot worse than that.

Thanks Paul. I have another one, similar, on Flicker. It is very hard to convey the spaciousness one sees in real life. To come anywhere near close, these need to be seen in full size in order to bring out the details.

That sums it up well. A good photographer will make this lens sing a fine tune.

Within it's design range, I would be interested to see any pictures which show it's limitations due to being a kit lens. If the picture itself is good, this lens is going to do it justice.
