Thank you. Quite a few of these Brush Turkeys wander through our yard. They can make a mess of your garden. They are very good flyers also. It amazes me that the babies hatch with all they need for survival already pre-programmed in their heads. We humans are helpless for years. I also notice that the more intelligent birds are born helpless as well, needing care and nurture.

Brush Turkey. They build a huge earth mound, and keep their eggs at the correct temperature by varying the thickness. When the chick hatch, they will be on their own without parents to guide them.
