Sorry to hear your sad news. Pets just don't live long enough for us, but you have a fine picture for keepsake. We had cats die of kidney failure and there were suggestions of using the wrong cat food. Why so much kidney failure diagnosis?
I wonder if it is the easiest without exploratory surgery for the likes of cancer etc.?

Straight out the camera, no PP cropping (but yes, camera cropped), image size 372KB
I have noticed (35mmLTD) that even at f8 there is some vignetting, but is mostly notably against bright backgrounds. I had some shots wide open where I did not notice it.
I might add, that due to the huge files at raw and max JPEG, which is too much for casual email, I have User 1 mode set for small Jpegs, which is set to auto cropped. Not every snap needs all that information.
