I do not profess to know, but reading the technical DNG description, think that the size difference may be due (at least in part!) by the framework that allows DNG to interact/record applicable data from other camera makers/types.

I'm on the fence with RT - it does really well with Fuji X gear, and the Fuji Astia HaldClut preset is awesome (example is not a Tak, but similar colours!):

I do find there are a number of sliders to set, seems a little complex at times, but it does a good job.

Beautiful sunny day today: Even better, I took a day off! A couple of these from a rainy walk a few days ago.
Taks on the Fuji X-T20 - mostly Provia preset. Quite easy to use, and great colour results.
