Great shots of beautiful pets!
Here are a few that I took of our new family member, Duchess. My wife wanted to get a new dog for the kids, but I wasn't feeling it because I lost my 11 y/o Golden Retriever a short time ago. Anyway, I happened across a picture of her at a rescue place, and I knew my wife wanted a German Shepherd, so I had to adopt her. She was the favorite of one of the rescue owners, and I had to meet his standards before he would let me adopt her. She is a very sweet dog and the kids love her. Of course, she knows that she is my dog...

Thanks. I probably shot a thousand or more of him testing out various lenses over the last couple of years. After a few shots, he would put his head down to show me that he did not want his picture taken anymore.
Thanks, the one kissing my 4 y/o stepdaughter is one of my favorites. Yeah, at some point, we will most likely get another dog. My wife actually wanted to get a second dog for Buddy to play with recently, but thankfully, I told her that I think we should give all of our attention to Buddy because of his age. After a few months or so, we will probably look at some rescue dogs.

Sadly, I made the incredibly difficult decision this week to euthanize my best friend, Buddy. He was 11 years and 2 months old. The Vet discovered a large cancerous tumor in his abdomen among other medical issues. Sadly, cancer is common in this breed. I was blessed to have 11 years with such a wonderful and loyal dog.
I attached some of my favorite recent photos of my best friend.
