Na Horuk, the engineer is one of the museum's volunteers. This was at the Sacramento Railroad Museum and it was FANTASTIC. The docents and guides were all VERY knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to talk about and teach visitors about the trains, California's history, and how trains shaped the western half of the U.S.

Takis63, the train is on static display. I'm not sure if any of the trains there could ever be returned to service. This one, at least, had the oil furnace retrofitted with lighting to simulate a fire (the furnace door in the cap was open so people could see how large it was.) My guess is that many of the trains are just empty shells at this point or have otherwise had many of their parts removed. They did have some cars they had restored to their original condition, including a dining car, sleeper, and first-class Pullman. If you're ever in Sacramento, this is a great place to spend about three hours, touch and walk into a bunch of vintage train engines and cars, and take a LOT of fun pictures.

I will say of the KS-1, which I have to return in a week, that's it's a camera I have REALLY mixed feelings about. The image sensor is, I think, the best Pentax has used yet. But the ergonomics, grip, and missing features make it largely unpleasant to use for me. For a casual photographer, someone who doesn't need an IR port on the back, doesn't ever use interval shooting, or is okay recording video with only the on-camera microphone, this may be a fine choice as a camera. It takes stunning photos.

Just a fun photo of the largest locomotive I've ever seen, a 4-16-4 cab-forward freight hauler designed for moving heavy loads through the Sierras. Of the 264 of these made, this is the only one that wasn't scrapped when they were taken out of service. This was 264.
