Thank you! and thanks for fueling my camera buying addiction with the recommendations on this and the travel camera thread. :)
While I am at it, here is another recent shot. Fuji Superia 800 pushed to 1600 and processed at home. I was a bit surprised that Superia 800 is quite grainy when pushed, but still I was happy with the results on this roll which were mostly snapshots from Christmas morning. I think this particular photo was shot at F5.6, 1/60. It was overcast and raining so that contributed to the desaturated look in the image, which I thinks adds to the scene.

And a couple more from the same test roll:
Missed the comp in this one fiddling with the controls so I cropped it to 8x10 dimensions.

Also no meter on either camera so there was a good bit of guesswork involved with all of these shots.

Thank you both for the kind words! I processed two more last night, and the negs look pretty good.
Here's one from the second roll, taken with my Christmas present, a very cool 1950 or 1951 Exakta Exa with a Carl Zeiss Jena 50mm lens that is in near mint condition and operates flawlessly (well except for the photographer). This thing takes some getting used to with the waist level finder and left handed shutter release. While shooting the test roll, I kept finding myself moving the camera the wrong way to frame shots and pressing the film rewind button thinking it was the shutter. :)
Very happy with sharpness of the lens and the colors it produces on the Fuji film.

I finally got around to processing my first batch of C-41 film at home, and I was pretty happy with the result. For cheap film, I like the look of the Fujicolor 200 shot through these old lenses. Here are a couple from the first roll.

Ok, I give. What then are you supposed to wipe it with?
I can understand fingers due to oils, etc, but a cotton t shirt is certainly softer than glass. So long as there is no foreign object present on the cloth or the lens, I don't really how cotton t-shirt material is much different from a cotton eyeglass/lens cloth.
Obviously, if foreign objects like sand were present even the most sophisticated lens cleaning cloth could scratch the lens

I just bought a bunch of fuijcolor 200 for about 1.10 a roll. Even though C-41 seems pretty straightforward, I thought it would be a good film to experiment with my first batch of chemistry since I'd hate ruin more costly films in the event something goes wrong.
Have you tried ultrafine for kodak gold? I haven't ordered from them before, but it seems like had gold 100 for about $2.20 a roll.

Nice! There are many more expensive, better films out there, but honestly, Kodak Gold 200 has never let me down, even when very expired and pushed.
I have one or two of those Minolta Maxxums that is currently acting as a dust collector. Looks like I may need to take it down off of the shelf once in a while. A pair of minoltas served me well on a trip to europe a few years back, and I have neglected them a bit, mainly due to the high cost of replacing the batteries.
Also, as an update on my earlier post, I took the plunge and ordered C-41 chemistry. I should have everything in a week or two along with some film, so I will post, hopefully good results, here after I process the first batch.

Nice shots dog walker. That third shot reminds me of upland game hunting. I have thought about home C-41 processing, but really have no idea what it would take to get started. Right now I process my own BW film though.
Here is another test shot from the Super Program

Excellent shots of those fall leaves.
I just picked a nice super program for next to nothing, and ran a test roll though it. This bait bucket was sitting out on the street in front a of a shop in the small seaside town next door.

They did not pass them around the machines for me, but on a recent trip, my film, both exposed and unexposed, went through the machine at least five times without any noticeable ill effects
