greymda, this depends entirely on what your majority of images are about! For me example, analyzing what I take images of, the majority is Classic cars, and 90% of the time my 21mm is on. The 40mm, the rest of the time I have on the camera. Nobody can advise you better than yourself, and the only deep question to ask yourself is what do I take pictures of mostly. Don't forget the 1.5 ratio so the 21mm = 31mm in 35mm terms. The 40mm is a 60mm. I also have the 70mm and 35mm and rarely use either.

The DA 40 is a lovely lens, this is another good shot with it. I won't get rid of mine.
