I forgot to mention that I keep the hood on at all times. It bayonets on and helps to protect the lens from bumps. Reversed, it clicks on out of the way for storage making for a compact package.

As Wolfiegirl says...JJC hood from ebay. Mine was cheaper, I think $12.00US sent from China, took a little time to get to me. I think it helps. I just looked and saw some for $6.00US.
