Thank you Makten for this encouragement. Yes, I do want to... which is why I bought all the chemicals, a drum, old school timer, etc. I have a kitchen no bigger than yours. So maybe if I can keep everything out of the way of the cats I can give it a shot. Where do you hang your strips? I was figuring the shower stall, actually. Run some shot water first to kill the dust.

Oh yes, that's what I would be doing. I've got the changing bag, scanner etc. The issue is that I live in Ireland with one bathroom in the house shared between myself and two women. And two cats. So taking over that one room for chemicals etc. isn't really going to happen! (I have a shed but no water flow there.)

I do own one and even bought all the darkroom material before I realised that practical considerations make development rather impossible here. But, lo and behold!, a new photo shop opened in town this month and they will be offering rented darkroom space. I may yet get back into film, though the practical reality of walking into town with my gear is off-putting.
But the truth is that, as I've become better with APS-C, I find it gives me what I need.

I enjoyed that discussion illustration of sharpening a few posts back. Thanks itshimitis for taking the time to do all that work with your image. Before the extra sharpening it's clear to me that the attached image is degraded and that furthermore the 800 pixel shot looks better. I do recall something from Adam about photos over 800 pixels (was that the number?) not coming out as well on the forum. Something to bear in mind.

If the Provia 100 was digital I'd say the blues had been hyped beyond belief. Much prefer the Ektar.
