The part with the KP and sidecar were taken with my K-S2, while the road pictured in the lens was borrowed from the internet. The K-S2 is now packed away in it's original box, the KP is taking over the photo opportunities.

I did my first portrait shooting the other day. Our church had a Luke 14 Project Dinner we put on for a few of the homeless people in our area. Twenty four people were given the opportunity for showers, haircuts, beauty makeup for the ladies, clothes and then treated to a first class dinner setup like a five star restaurant (well, as close as we could). Part of the event was having their photos taken and given a printed copy to take with them. I was the one who took their photos for them and the event. To work with I had one speedlight, my K-S2, a FA 50 & DA 70 lens, and a borrowed backdrop to work with. Flash was on camera, but I did setup a 8' x 4' white board to use as a reflector. I used the "Foamin White Thing" to flag most of the shots. Only a few wanted a portrait, but it was fun. I am very proud of our little church.
Here are a few of the shots:

The other day I took my K-S2 to a little park in University Place near Tacoma, called Kobayashi Park. Here are a few photos from the park:

I had about an hour free afternoon time while in Olympia and decided to take some photos of Capital Lake. I have often seen the lake from I-5 but never gone to it before. I never realized it before but the lake is surrounded by deciduous type trees. They haven't started changing colors yet, but I am going to try and come back. Photos were taken with either the DA 20-40mm or DA 15mm with the K-S2. The first two have a blue color cast to them and I can't seem to remove it without affecting the sky. Still working on that.

This last Saturday night we had a super moon, but we also had lots of much needed rain. Thursday night was the last partially clear night I decided to take a couple of shots with the K-S2 & Tamron 70-200 lens. These shots were hand held and cropped.
