I also upgraded from a K5 to the K1. On the K1 I used the 18-135 in 1:1 mode (until I traded it off on the 28-105). the 40mm Ltd and 70mm Ltd also work well in full frame. Your 16-85 will likely work at some focal lengths in full frame and should work at all lengths in 1:1.
The K1 is a much nicer camera than the K5.
That being said, I kept my K5 and also use it on more occasions than I thought I would.
As to weight, I walked around Disney for 6 days in the fall with the K1 in a sling bag along with extra lenses and didn't notice a weight difference from previous trips with the K5.
As Norm indicated, the camera is only the first expense. The FA31 is considerably heavier (and costlier) than the 21mm Ltd for a somewhat similar field of view.
I don't regret the purchase and feel it was a good decision.
