Moving to premium image quality, yes, thats's what I was told at photokina twoyears ago. But not Leica-like rather than towards Phase One, was my impression. Prices? Idk. But I don't think they'll ignore regular mid range lenses, they seem to be just lower priority.

Speed, IQ and connectivity. Additional innovations are always welcome. However, I think software will get more important in the future.
That quote could also imply that they think a mirrorless will have a different mount.

Oh, now I remember that. That fits with the rumor that something new will be announced at Photokina. Maybe they already have something to show or at least talk about.

I think Pentax would be the right one to pull such a thing off. It wouldn't compete with other's pro stuff but it would be an additional camera people would love to have. Kind of like the GR. it doesn't replace anything but it has it's own place.
Moonlander screen?! :D nice description. I love it and use it all the time. Hope Pentax has more such great ideas and brings them to market.

I thought about that. One szenario I can think of is getting help from the parent company in the industrial division. It's an imaging company and when they fins a business case where such a sensor would generate income outside the area of pemtax cameras, they could do such a development. Maybe.
