Congratulations to MikeSF on being selected the winner of the Medium Format Landscape Contest. Now he has to decide if he wants the HD 90mm or the older tech SDM 120mm.
Mike, why don't you post the winning entry on this thread so we can all see it up close and personal!
Thanks to everyone who participated. You are all winners as far as I am concerned.

Really nice one. Pity it was not on time to go into the landscape contest. Mist and sunlight are one of my favorite themes in landscape photography.

Enjoying your flowers! The ones you are presenting here are what we call Rose of Sharon in the U.S. I have five different versions of these in our garden. We use the name hibiscus for the ones with much larger blossoms. (I will not show an example in this thread as I no longer have a medium format camera, though still quite a number of mediuim format lenses.)

Well, the 35-A/FA P645 is one of the few P645 lenses that I have never seen maligned! Where/who is this maligning coming from?

I think the bargain price of used medium format lenses holds true for many P645 and P67 lenses, making used lenses real bargains. There are a few exceptions like the P67 75mm f 2.8, and the relative quality/reputation of the lenses seems to merit a bump upward for the better ones. The old MF/A P645 lenses are also fantastic bargains as well because many/most of them have the same optics as the FA versions. Why these low prices characterize this lens market is unclear, but I think it is mainly because of the smaller user base. Also a larger percentage of the P645 market consists of professional photographers who tend to purchase only a few specialized lenses rather than buying a cabinet full of lenses, again decreasing the demand level for these lenses. Just my thoughts, wonder what others think?

The P645-A 120mm macro is absolutely one of the best macros available anywhere, and the A version is a great bargain. I actually prefer the A version for macro since the focus ring offers firmer resistance than the AF when used in MF mode for macro. I never use AF for macro anyway, though the A-120 is certainly a good lens for landscape and general use.

Love these old steam engines. I will never forget a three-day trip I took back in the early 1980s from Beijing all the way south to Guanghou (Canton) in a long (maybe about 35 passenger cars) steam locomotive train. The train was so long that from my car toward the back, I could easily view the entire train as it rounded the railway curves. Toilet facilities included an Asian style toilet so that when using it, the squatter could view the rails as the train sped its way south. Somewhere lost in my files are photos of a younger version of myself, several train crewmen and passengers, and the train itself with an early Pentax (post M42) camera and an old Sears version of the Pentax-M 50m f 1.8. I used that camera all over the world in manual mode withn nothing but my gut feel for lighting intensity and the Sunny 16 rule.

That is a good thought. However, you will find some wonderful landscape on this thread that may inspire you to start looking around for some mountains, big buildings, waterfalls, etc.!

Medium format is great for landscape, but it is great to see it used for closeups too.

My first thought is that the company which is currently using crooked carrots to advertise their medication aimed at curing Peyronie's Disease might consider using this steeple as an alternative.
