Big old Tamron 80-250mm f3.8 - this can be found as an adaptamatic (this one) and an adaptall, the Z250. An interesting old lens to check out. Pics: samsung NX20. The mount is a diy'ed PK see here.
(can't get pics in the right order)
1. Gull keeping a weather eye out for some chips f8.
5. Jackdaw being more proactive about it f8.
2. Tourist eating aforementioned chips, f3.8 ~135mm, this came out way better than wide open shots of white gulls at 250mm which were rather soft and "glowy".
4. What yer lookin at!!
3. 1:1 full sized crop. Stopped down this lens can hold its own against far more modern lenses - it was a pricy premium lens in its day.

wow those are great GUB. #2 particularly shows very good resolution - inferior mirrors always look scratchy with fine detail (and you nailed focus..)
You can also post in the mirror club thread! lets see some more from this interesting, unique and rare lens.

Belated response Andrew sorry.
Edwardian: Edward 1st built a chain of castles along the N wales coast and in mid Wales late 13th century. They are considered some of the best examples of classic concentric military architecture. More info.
There are indeed numerous Norman remains around, typically the remnants of a motte+ bailey.

Low sun = good shadows for some 3D... I was playing with the shadows and contrast to try to enhance. Not bad.... I think I'll be back, try to figure out optimum time of day, best lens...

Took my recently acquired Tokina ATX 80-200mm f2.8 classic "pro" zoom around Conwy. These are difficult to find in PKA mount.

Link directly to pics posted on eg flickr or on a server or even dropbox Andrew. Just write the bbcode in like this:

[img]http://www....url/img.jpg[/img]

The bbcode tag is in the square brackets, the forum will parse the link and import the pic.
Or you can simply click on the "insert pic" icon (7th from left) and write in or copy and paste the relevant url.

You've got some very nice results out of that tokina 35-105mm Andrew. I notice you have given it a bit of a "rave" review. Typical tokina to my eyes with distinctly warm rendering. I have the ATX 35-200mm but is has a hazed element and is in the project box...
I have to admit I prefer the tamron adaptalls: more neutral/natural rendering and sharper contrast IMO. I am thinking specifically of the 40A 35-135mm, and the SP 28-135mm 28A.

X-post. Just acquired this example, arrived today, PK mount, excellent condition, also has the focus limiters as well. I'm not sure that either of these mechanical features - zoomlock, focus limiters - really have that much utility. I think they are more USP's.
I haven't got round to writing up a conclusion to my 70-210mm tests, but if/when I do I may well suggest that this lens is #1 - specifically for consistent all round performance.
Pentax K5, jpg's slightly tweaked in Faststone.
