A New Arrival by Jason Doss
Pentax K-1 mII Limited Silver and Pentax-M 20mm f4.0 at f8.0, 1/125s, and ISO 3200

This A*300f2.8 arrived today, but I don't know for how long. Seller didn't disclose the presence of minute scuffs on the front element, and I don't know whether I can stand the imperfections. I tested it outdoors for a while this afternoon and image quality is actually outstanding. The lens is unwieldy but handholdable. I've got a while to decide whether to keep it or not.

Mine is the older unit according to the lens reviews section. "3.5/18" is older than "3.5 18" and the serial numbers apparently have nothing to do with the date of manufacture. Cool that you've got one too!

Indeed, it is not. :) You were right about the M100f2.8 on the right, but the other largish lens is an M120f2.8. The shorter one is an M28f2.0, which is about the same size as my M50f1.4. Both the M100 and M28f2 are mounted on Optech double-sided lens caps, so they look taller than they are. Good guesses!

I'm sure that last comment was tongue-in-cheek, but please be advised that Eric did lose my Super Program several years ago.

amazon.com : Flipbac FBG3 Camera Grip for Point & Shoot Digital Cameras : Camera Cases : Camera & Photo?tag=pentaxforums-20&

I use these on both my K2 and K1000. Soft rubber, easy to cut and form to fit, and the adhesive isn't very strong so you can try it for a while and if you don't like it, they'll come right off. I cut the bottom end off mine and made a rear thumbgrip for both cameras, and I love it for both cameras. Because I love it, I went ahead and gorilla-glued them on both cameras and they are now firmly secure... no slippage. The cameras feel more like the Super Program now. Recommended if you think the grips are uncomfortable like I did.

Why'd you buy so many, monochrome? You trying to set up a black market for this product?

Apparently so. I received a strange reply to my last request, and none of my follow-ups were answered, so I finally took the hint.

So, nobody is filling in the niche then? That's too bad... I wanted to get some more of my lenses done. :(

Any pointers on where to go to get lenses custom resurfaced or silvered like dcshooter used to do? I was hoping to get a few more of my K and M lenses resurfaced but looks like I waited too long.

I guess this would be soft core porn, or even an R rated movie, yet here it is... the latest two additions to my stable.

Have you tried any of the light meter apps available for smartphones? I've noticed that one or two of my Super Programs seem to like shooting at 1/1000 or 1/2000 a lot more than they should, so the last roll was shot with the assistance of this light meter app. I'll develop the roll in the next few days.
