You can get the SMC version from the norwegian shop fovi.no, but at a higher price than the HD version. That goes for the other lenses that are converted from SMC to HD as well.

I like your comparisons. I wish there'd been a camerasize.com sort of page for film cameras as well, not only for digital.

Isn't that a very heavy piece to put on an SLR? I'd love to have one myself, but I wouldn't know how to hold the camera steady with that log attached on the side, so I'm afraid it would only serve as some kind of trophy. I have the AF280T, and I feel that even that flash affects the balance of the camera negatively, so what would a 400 do to it? (IMHO the position of the hotshoe on the SF and Z/PZ series is the ideal when it comes to keeping the balance of the system with a flash attached)
