Got back from a 3 week south America trip a couple of weeks ago, I ran into a, I believe German guy with Pentax, talked a few minutes with him, it was GREAT!

Just got back from a week in London and a week in Paris, I tried my best but no other Pentax spotted. I did get one person who was impressed with my K50 and 18-135mm, LOL!

Hey, I'm just got back from a two week, NE and Canada cruise and I ran into another Pentax user in Quebec City, he was as surprised as I was and wasn't an English speaker so it was a very brief but happy encounter!

You missed me by a couple of weeks, LOL! I do have a H D zoo pass this year so I'll be out there more but probably not until school starts again, it is just a mad house during the summer! I'll be the one with a K50 and a K01!

It looks like I'm be on the other side, Corner Brook but if you have any tips for me on great photo sites there I'm all ears! From what I've seen it looks like it's near a National Park but it also doesn't look like I will have to go far to find some outdoor beauty to photograph!

My brother and I both had ME's and only one of them works, the other one seems dead but one is all I need! Walking around with a film camera these days sort of makes a statement I think!

A few months ago I fired up an old ME Super and took a roll of film, it was fun. I plan on taken it along with my on a NE/Canada cruise, just for fun.

I hit a record high for me on a trip to Europe that I just got back from, I saw TWO Pentax cameras in use in Ravenna, Italy (can I count mine for three, LOL!) in the same day, Sept. 29th! The next day I saw another in Dubrovnik, Croatia! I think one of the guys was from Australia and the other guy was from Winnipeg, Canada. (I'm not sure there the third was from.) That beats my previous all time total of one Pentax seen on the last trip and that was in Rome, Italy last year.

Yes, it's true, a Pentax exec said during an interview a month or two ago that over 1/2 the worldwide Pentax sales are in Japan. I often wondered what their market was like and that's the first time I've ever heard it stated. It might have been around the time of one of the K3 announcements.

Yes, it was a 'bridge' type of camera but not those two models, something a lot older. I'd never seen it before and didn't realize Pentax ever made anything like it, I think the guy was from the far east, it was digital. That reminds me, when I was on a guided boat tour (in Alaska) the tour operator said he would help with cameras, I told him I'll bet he'd never seen one of these before, I had my K50 and K01, he said he had seen Pentax before, one of his buddies had one! I wish I would have taken a picture of it now!

I was on a cruise with 2,000 other people and was watching camera action the whole time. I saw one other Pentax and it was one that I hadn't seen before, some type of fixed lens smaller than a DSLR type thing. I don't think it was ever sold in the US. Anyway, Pentax is a very, very small market.
