Wow, those are some wild shots, I think you're the kind of photographer where the equipment used is second compared to talent of the person behind the lens.

Nice shots everyone, I wonder if I will live longer than the K-01, it will be interesting to see how long the working k-01's will last, mine has shown no sign of real trouble, yet!

This just happened to me on the last trip when I left the battery out for an extended period (for recharging). It seems fine if I leave a battery in it (I hope).

I posted this on my family's web site and every one liked it so I'll post it here. It's from my backyard but it still is hard to get a good shot because of the speed of the birds and getting focus. It's the K-01 and 55-300mm.

You know, I have a 32 GB card in there so I just snap them off, LOL! Actually, I could usually see enough in the LCD that I knew that I had the frame I wanted zoomed right. At first I noticed that some shots were not level with the horizon so I started watching that more and could see that in the LCD. Having said that I don't think I'll be using my manual focus "A" lenses much in the sun. I think before my next trip or if the price is right I'm going to pick up a 18-135MM. I just can't change lenses on a lot of the trips I take without worring about dust/etc. But all in all the LCD in the sun gave me enough of a view to get what I wanted. Out of 700 shots I only thru out a couple dozen mistakes. I have a lot more dups I need to sort out but the k01 with the 18-55 AL II worked really well for me on this trip. After seeing how the shots on this trip look, I do think I'll give my k100D away, I just can't picture using it anymore. BTW: that is straight out of the camera, I think some PP would improve it.

Ok, I was in Puerto Rico last week and snapped of a bunch of shots, my first real trip with the K01. I really like it and I think I'll get the 18-135 to use with it. I only took my 18-55 AL II on this trip.
