I suppose that is one way to go about shooting with the Q!
Have you tried experimental shooting with a smaller lens (maybe 50 or 105mm) handheld? If you can find some birds in front of a sunset...it can produce some awesome results! Not high quality but beautiful!
Love the setup. How big is that lens???

Taken with the Q and adapted Nikkor P 105mm. Possibly my favorite telephoto lens to use with the Q.
It takes patience to produce clean, crisp photos with this lens as with any telephoto adapted onto the Q. It is much more fun to just not be too concerned with focus and take more photos. I find I am more pleased and surprised with random results rather than just sitting around making sure what I want is in focus.
I did not use a LCD Loupe (lost the magnetic frame ages ago) and used a monopod for stability. It was quite windy as you can see in the foliage.
Edit: Last photo was taken with a Q and a Nikkor 28mm f/2.8

Quality is lost with upload. The lossless photo is very clear.

This photo is a result of using the high contrast digital filter together with bleached bypass (set on the front dial). The Q may suffer in the IQ department in low light but it certainly does not suffer in the fun department when the sun goes down!
I am using a 28mm Nikon lens with a Fotodiox filter here.
I did not alter the photo other than the size of it. Straight from the SD card.

Very overcast towards the evening might have something to do with that. I don't know. Could be the lens?

Hi drougge,
I really like that first shot with your 4mm CS lens. I am curious what kind of lens it is and the adapter you used as well. Any information would be great as I would like to get a similar set up. Thank you!
