Hey - thanks, buddy - if you ever go sailing and are prone to mal de mer, be sure you know which side is to leeward (pronounced "loo'ard") - away from the wind ;).
Jer
Thanks a lot, man - I really appreciate it. Katy's not far from Lake Jackson - maybe an hour or hour-and-a-half drive. It'd be great to hook up - maybe we could even do it at the marina and take a tack or two across the bay.

Brandy's OK with me. Sorry to hear about your boat - I hope it sees the water again one of these days.
Jer
Hey, Doc - thanks; I appreciate it.

No worries, my friend. I saw the wink in your eye. Hop across the gulf and crew with me - I promise the beer will be cold.

Oh Lord - not the stinkpot-rag hanger argument again, which is as old as it is boring. My fault - I shoulda never used the word "stinkpot." Old salts like me have sailed, crewed, owned, driven, cruised, skied behind and drank beer on every sort of boat that floats - and don't take the power vs. sail thing seriously. So relax and show us some pictures of your sea-going hot rod; I'm sure I'd love to take a ride.

Thanks so much. You've got a great eye, and your positive comment means a helluva lot to me.

Does it have a beer holder? If so, it's a lot like a sailboat.

I hope you're not talking about a stinkpot! Hot motors should be in cars and not wasted on boats.
Jer
You're welcome to join us . . . . . and they got pills for that stuff (gin works too).
Jer
Hey Marc, come on down and crew with me. While you're here, you can show me how to shoot a bird in flight - something that is currently beyond my kin.

Hey, Ash - it was a thrill ride for sure; our Catalina 30 was touching 7 knots, pretty quick for an old gal with an old design.
Jer
Thanks much, Conrad.

I appreciate your kind words. We were smokin' when we hit that wave.

Hey, Dave - you've got Newport and plenty of salt air. No place like New England for great yachting.

It's tough, but somebody's gotta do it.
Jer
Thanks, buddy. Come to Texas; you can crew with me any time.
Jer
It is indeed, my friend. And . . . . as I've said before . . . . sailing and photography are wonderfully complimentary hobbies.
Jer
Hey Richard - the sun is shining and the wind is blowing; your cat would have gone like stink the breeze we had yesterday. And, yeah, there's been some work on my part along the way.

Here are three shots I grabbed this PM sailing on Galveston Bay. The wind was robust - 18 to 22 knots. The first two are similar to one I submitted to PPG, but not as good; nevertheless, I posted them because I'm still amazed at our brave new world: scream all over the Bay in the afternoon, drink a beer or two, dock at 5:00 PM, turn on air conditioner, take shower, have dinner in marina restaurant, return to cool boat, PP photos and post on forum via marina wireless. Life just ain't that bad.
