My wife and me have 2 bags, both full of WR:
K-3 II + 16-50/2.8 WR + 50-135/2.8 WR + 55-300 WR
K-5 + 18-55 WR + 50-200 WR
Why? Well, for the kit lenses WR does not make a lot of difference in terms of price. However, previously the K-5 and nowadays the K-3 II deserve to have appropriate lenses attached to it, which in our case primarily means the 2 "classic" DA* lenses 16-50 and 50-135. I must say that with some patience I was able to acquire each of them in the range of € 500.- (used of course).
Usually I do not go out for shooting in the rain, however my profession sometimes takes me to very dusty places and here I feel a lot more comfortable with WR lenses. And, to be honest, it simply goes together so nicely - a modern Pentax branded lens with a Pentax * lens...
