So I've been practicing my manual focusing abilities with an old Tokina 135mm f/2.8. This ....er is all metal and weighs about as much as I imagine that Zeiss 85 weighing aka a bloody ton. These shots aren't great but it does show I can kinda focus manually.
Both of these were shot at f/4 because the fringing and softness wide open makes me sad. IMGP2932-2 by nrrfed, on Flickr IMGP2886 by nrrfed, on Flickr

Been enjoying the spring colors with my Tokina 135 f/2.8. Catch-in focus is a wonderful thing. Flokeh. by nrrfed, on Flickr

I had posted a version of this picture earlier, but I just recently discovered perspective correction in Lightroom and it has completely blown my mind. I absolutely love Lightroom and shooting in raw.. just freaking awesome. Oh, the Tokina 135 isn't bad either ;) Mr. Dexter (perspective corrected version) by nrrfed, on Flickr

I got a copy of the Tokina 135mm f/2.8 and I must say I really enjoy using it. It's probably not as sharp as it could be, and manual focus can be a real bitch, but it's still alot of fun! I just enjoy the way the images turn out, and really enjoy the bokeh. I'm also addicted to taking pictures of my dogs, as you'll all see soon enough.
