Amazing Telstra fixed my fault on Tuesday and cut the line/service on Wednesday, lucky there is no swearing policy here, they are truly hopeless. this is number 4 since february.

Yes i am with copper but they keep cutting the line with the NBN work.

Sounds a bit crook, might have to change their name to OPportunisTUS. The ACCC is investigating crooked contract deals this might qualify as one.
Telstra have sent me a interim phone (locked mobile) to use as a temporary service. After three goes at diconnecting me and a week each time without service, will be worth hanging onto until the NBN arrives.

Yeah I remember the Optus roll out in Sydney and was a big concern there for awhile, with Optus getting a foot hold in Sydney. Interesting that you have the same trouble with the fibre. Is it hardware/cable trouble or software or just unknown?
Still no connection for me as yet, maybe by the weekend.

Hmmm Telstra faults, the third fault on my landline and internet in 6 weeks. The broadband work has started and they keep dropping the connection on my home line. Anyone else had this type of issue or is it just me?
Relying on my mobile phone to keep some contact to the internet.

Whoa don't know what happened but finally got a half decent connection on ADSL2 after months of running under 2.0 Mbps and hours on the blower complaining. will see what happens this evening when all the gremlins are home from school.
