Sorry, is that on a Mac? I'm assuming so. So then there really shouldn't be a hold up for PC DNG handling then. I'm looking forward to that.

Yup, on a windows PC K-3 DNG files are not currently read by DXO Optics Pro 9.1.1. I emailed them and got a similar response to yours, but the phrase "get K-3 DNG files working again" was used. This possibly implies that they did work on 9.1.0 but stopped on 9.1.1. or that post the first K-3 firmware update the DNG files became unreadable by the windows version of the software. They said it will be fixed "soon".
I can't think it should take long if it already works OK on the Mac version of the software. Perhaps the Mac version is reading them, but not exactly in a K-3 specific way? Anybody have suspicions that the K-3 is being read as K5iis in Mac versions? If not then the code they have for Mac shouldn't take too much tweaking to become a PC functional module.
And, yes DXO Optics Pro 9.1.1. does handle K-3 PEF files.
