Poll answered.
So, another K30 user here, shuttercount is just over 22000.
Purchased 2 1/2 years ago, while production date was some 16 months earlier.
By the way, I don't believe Pentax has a better track record dealing with these kind of production issues.
Pentax users tend to be fans and rather loyal, so expect to be treated better and are unhappy to find they're not.
With over 400 responses we might make Pentax/Ricoh take notice, but I don't really expect it to happen.
Would be very interested in poll results and have Ricoh comment on them for the forum.
