Yes, that is one of the "hidden" but very valuable improvements over the k5, it seems. I read little about this, but it was one of the first things I noticed.

Agreed also. The Zeiss 50/2 makro planar is an absolute joy to use on the K5IIs.

Nice elegant duck, this northern pintail!
Since this is starting to be a birding thread: with the Sigma 500/4.5, although this "common pond duck", isn't nearly as quietly elegant as your pintail

Nice one!
I don't have the K5IIs yet, as I opted to put my funds in a Sigma 500/4.5 first, but I will go for it as soon as I can afford it. I love almost every image I see from the K5IIs, and the Sigma, being screwdrive for Pentax, needs the best AF possible in a Pentax body.
