That was also my impression when I first saw the image. Very interesting effect.

@Oktyabr, a modest ceremony, perhaps, but one having immense significance.
In contrast to weddings costing tens of thousands of dollars and photographed with gear costing many thousands, it's a treat to see your pictures.

It's great to be in the right place when they're heard!
As a side note -- Ottawa happens to be located along one of the major flyways. So, every fall, we're treated to large numbers of migrating Canada Geese heading south. This year, they seemed to be flying a bit late in the year, well into November and early December. Coincidentally, our real winter started late and has been exceptionally soft so far. Each spring, the first honks are sure to bring a smile to one's mind and a glance upwards to our familiar friends heading northward.
A fairly large number of geese stay in the Ottawa area during spring, summer, and fall.

Lovely shots! I like the mood and lighting in the second one especially. I feel like I'm there.
Hey, I think I saw those two Canada Geese in one of our fields a couple of days ago. :)

(also posted in 'Post Your Photos!') 1950 Mercury Coupe
Big, brawny and boat-like – the hallmarks of some of the automobiles of the early 1950’s. This black, sinister-looking customized version of the Merc Coupe could be Batman’s family car. What a lumbering beast – 0-60 mph in just under 18 seconds (0-100 km/h in 20)! Far from an economical car in today’s standard, gas mileage was 13 mpg (USG) or 18.5 litres/100 km. Yikes.

Geez, those pictures tempt me to sell the house, the car, the kids... and move to Colorado! Excellent samples from the 18-135.

QCdude,
Thanks. Actually, I took a longer look at your Google+ postings - very nice sets there. My wife and I took a 10-day jaunt earlier this month around Nova Scotia including Cape Breton Island. I don't have an 18-135 lens, but managed well with several primes and the 50-135. Fortunately, we had good weather, so WR was not essential. When I finish post processing, I'll post selected images. See the "K Club" for a taste.

Excellent images in these posts. But I may need to ask you folks to stop posting - you're really agitating my LBA! And now I feel an urge to visit Walt Disney, Iceland, Boston, Colorado, and wherever QCdude went!
Of course - the images reflect the photographers' skills. The lens seems to play its part very well, though. Thanks for the inspiration.
