It comes without lens hood, quick focus and has a non metal mount.
This is not a 55-300mm f4-5.8 ED, it is the L version and there is a difference. Optically they are the same., but the lenses are different !
I find the Quick Focus feature an major plus in the Pentax line, that is why my 18-55mm L that comes in a kit with the K-x will be sold as soon as I get a good copy of the K-x camera (battery issues with the first unit, second camera to arrive tomorrow).
