I really love the IQ and rendering of the 60-250. In those regards it is all I could want. So I'm good, too.
I would just like it to focus a wee bit faster, even though I did use it successfully for wildlife in Tanzania (mostly without, but also with the 1.4TC). As for bird shots, for walking, wading, or perching birds it was great, but my skill with it did not extend to BIF.

This seems to be a key point in the discussion of available FF glass in the Pentax ecosystem. They only have so many design and manufacturing resources at their disposal. And doing the "Trinity" first was a good decision, as Pentax critics would find faulting glass quality more difficult (yes I realize that two are not in-house designs) than if they had done enthusiast or entry level lenses first. The problems in the user community are first cost, then size and weight.

I might add that since mbukal seemingly has an "in" with a Pentax equipment dealer, there should be no reason to not have information regarding the rate of product release from Ricoh. Expecting a deluge of both pro level and enthusiast level glass is historically unwarranted. And Ricoh would have made a big mistake in not addressing the need for top level glass to go with a top performing FF camera prior to filling out the enthusiasts' needs.
