"great shot, bet lots of patience paid off, I love Macro work"
If you mean my toad-foto - thank you very much! It is not easy to take a close up photo of croaking toad. Normally, toads stop croaking or they even dive away, when a much bigger "animal" comes as close as a photographer with a Macro lens and extension tube does. In addition, I had to enter into a small creek, that was normally used for washing the huge, buffalo-like cows of the indian farmers. In order to get close enough to this toad for taking a good photo, the muddy water reached my belly. |

@arnold: Thank you! I used no artficial lightning. Itīs just the light coming through the train window. I was not able to use a tripod or monopod because of the limited space; I tried my best with 1/60 sec with small expectations concerning the picture quality. For me, the result destroys the myth saying that itīs impossible to use the Pentax 6x7 handheld...

Thank you, alan_smithee_photos and montman.
@montman: Great portrait! I never tried doing portraits with a wide angle, but the 75mm and itīs owner seem to work very well for that. Did you use one of the extension tubes?

Taking photos out of the window of a moving train. Pentax 6x7, 105mm wide open, Fuji Provia 400X (why on earth did Fuji decide to discontinue this great film? No highspeed slides anymore...)

A photo from my daughter made on her first day at school. The huge bag in her arms is filled with sweets - a more then one hundred year old german tradition when starting the bitter reality of life :-)
I had no Pentax gear when I shot this picture one and a half years ago. I was using my Mamiya RB 67, 90mm lens, Kodak Portra 400.
