I'm Dan Barham. I reside in Conway, Arkansas, a college town of 55,000, 25 miles northwest of Little Rock. My wife, Shirley, and my son, Daniel, moved here with me two years ago from Annapolis, Maryland. Loving the beautiful scenery and great bass fishing here in Arkansas.
I'm retired from General Motors where my career was as an Area Service Manager with Chevrolet Motor Division in the Washington/Baltimore area.
Sold my Nikkormat EL SLR's and many, many lenses twenty years ago but now getting back into semi-serious photography (you know, before I get too old). At this moment sitting on the fence trying to go ahead and buy the K100D but lusting after the K10D. My self-imposed time limit to make the decision ends in three days so gotta decide now.
Anyway, great to meet such a diverse group and wish everyone a happy holiday season.

I'm 69 and retired from General Motors where I was an Area Service manager for Chevrolet Motor Division.
Last year my wife and I decided to find a place to retire and a relative in Arkansas asked us to visit. We visited and returned twice before deciding it was a great retirement area. We now live 24 miles northwest of Little Rock in a small college town called Conway, population 55,000.
My hobby of bass fishing has consumed far too much of my leisure time so I'm getting back into photography after too many years absence. I'm also a genealogist, an avid short story writer and a computer geek.
I know, I know, more than you wanted to know.
