"Spirit of Freedom" — a Douglas C-54 Skymaster — flew during Thunder Over Michigan in 2014. The aircraft was damaged by a tornado in South Carolina in April 2020, according to an Internet post.

Here is a 1969 Bleck Special at a recent fly-in breakfast held by EAA Chapter 1093 at Barstow Airport in Midland, Michigan. On the grass behind the Bleck Special is a 146 Ercoupe. The camera is a Pentax K-S2.

I think this is the Bell 47 G-2 from 1956 with wood rotor blades which was displayed at the Northwood University International Auto Show in Midland, Michigan.
The image was cropped. It was captured with a Pentax 100-300mm zoom lens on a K-S2.

The campaign airplane of U.S. Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain was photographed at MBS International Airport near Saginaw, Michigan, in 2008.
A non-Pentax point-and-shoot was used because that's what was immediately available.

An as-yet-unknown number of biplanes might fly into the small airport at Midland, Michigan, on April 24. (Weather could postpone that to April 25.) Last year, with less notice, approximately a dozen flew in. The airport is Jack Barstow Municipal Airport — not to be confused with MBS International Airport.
