Thank you Mattb123 for bestowing the honor of hosting this weeks' challenge to me.
I like shooting patterns.
That's really the only reason I'm picking this challenge, because I like them, I have a lot of my own examples (even though you don't really need any, dammit I'm gonna show mine off ;)), and a quick thread search resulted in no weekly challenges with a "Patterns" theme at least since I've been on the forum.
So patterns. Patterns in nature, patterns in the man-made world. Loose patterns. Tight patterns. You choose.
I was originally thinking of making this a "patterns / broken patterns" challenge and letting you choose either or, but I figured I'd leave that other half for a future host. :D
Rules for all the Weekly Challenges: Every week, a new theme is picked and judged by the winner of the previous week. This challenge is Pentax/Ricoh/Samsung cameras only.
Everyone is eligible to send in their best interpretation of the given theme, as long as the photo is taken with a Pentax/Ricoh/Samsung camera. Themes can be subject-oriented or technique-oriented. The host/judge will post winners' names in a separate thread, and will send a private message (PM) the winner (only if the winner is MIA) to pass the baton on. The winner will then host the next Challenge, and post a new thread with a subject or theme of his/her choosing.
Contest ends next Wednesday July 19.
