I was fortunate enough to get a 77/1.8 limited recently I've only used it briefly but so far I'm pretty happy

I also decided take the Tele-Tak 400/5.6 out for a spin, a really great lens but a bit of a pain to use so it's mostly a shelf queen

Great images going up! I've haven't been on much, but I have been shooting more now that the weather is changing. I was dogsitting for my Mom while she went to gamble my inheritance away in a Casino. Left to right is Stormy, Lilly, and buddy. Lilly and buddy are both rescues she took in. Messing around with some PP, desaturated yellow and green.

Thanks for the tips! Good advice, and a post I'll be referencing in the future.
I didn't have much time today (I had plans at the "cabin fever days" barstool ski races today in Martin City, MT!!!) but I did get a tour, heard the rules and got a pretty good set on one Bulldog, and I tried to get shots of a boxer mix pup but I ran out of time before I got anyting really good. Next time I'm setting aside at least 2 hours.

I've volunteered to photograph some animals needing adoption at the county shelter, tomorrow will be my first trip there. I'm thinking equipment I'll probably use a Tamron 90/2.8, and bring a 35 limited and K50/1.4. I'm bringing a flash and card but I doubt I'll need it. There are both cats and dogs and they have asked me to start and concentrate on the older, or special needs animals that are harder to place. Any tips or suggestions? Thanks!

I would have guessed iron from the color of the ground. Looks like he's saying to somebody "DUDE! What are you doing-don't you see the fence!?" lol

Thanks J, If you ever change your mind I'll trade ya ;) I wasn't going to get it either, as I have the tamy 90/2.8. But the sale price combined with LBA and an expiring reward code made me buy it.

Decided to try some low light shots with the Rokinon 85/1.4. These are done at near the minimum focus distance(3ft) No where near pseudo-macro but it's close enough most the time. F1.4 ISO 1600. First is lifted 2/3 stop second 1.5 stops in LR. IMO pretty clean considering

Snow makes for beautiful outdoor shooting IMO, lovely shot!
Snowing here again broke the 55-300 WR really hope insurance covers it and soon!

I posted from this set but not this one. Stormy wants to chase something and I'm telling to to stay. Looking at these full size wide open close focus shots the 55-300 WR is impressing me.

This thread does not give me LBA as bad as others, but it certainly makes me want more pets!
I especially like Doc the kitten, and skippy as a puppy great captures guys
Edit: Paul, doc looks like he/she has a beauty mark, reminds of a friends cat Marilyn Meowson
