I can only discuss and give examples of what I happen to have. It's up to you to make the extrapolation to your own situation. I'm sure if you own the Facebook PAGE, you can publish to it. Pretty much everything will auto publish to facebook. I only discuss Flicker because it's what I have, and thus know about. Why don't you look at some different hosting sites and read up on their user instructions/information and find out if they will auto-publish. With the one that I have, and thus know about, it was in the user settings. I checked a box and entered my FB login information and it was done.

I have two FB things. One is the personal one, and one is the photography one (I think I mentioned this). I had the personal one first. The other was made as an extention of it. But when I log in it takes me to my personal one. However, I can get to the photography one and edit, post, etc, but auto publishing photos from flickr goes to the personal one, because that is the one that my login is tied to. I'm guessing it auto-publishes based on login connection. It's fine with me that way as more than twice the number of people see the images than if it auto-published to the photography one.

But other than that there is really no really good way to share photos specifically on facebook as it's not designed as a tool specifically for photographers to share images. Adapt adapt adapt.

Flickr will automatically publish your uploaded images to Facebook if you tell it to. Then viewers can click on it and it takes them to your flickr site. I imagine this holds true for other photo hosting sites but this is the one that I use. I also have a separate "business" facebook attached to my regular one that I run sort of a blog of shoots and stuff, post samples, from shoots, and have a mini-portfolio, as well as a link to my "real" website, which is of course linked back to my facebook business site. And yes I have gotten business from this set up.

I host my photos on flickr, but then have it linked to my facebook page (a LOT more people see my facebook than my flickr). So whenever I post to flickr, it's auto-published to my facebook. Now, people cannot go to my facebook page and view the albums etc that hold these images, but my uploads will be published to the newstream and on my wall (until they roll off). It's really increased the traffic to my flickr site. I only post directly to facebook family photos etc that I don't want out there for the general public (only my facebook "friends" can see my content).
