Yes, I float-tube (aka 'Belly Boat) the North Fork from time to time. If Pentax made fly gear I wouldbe in trouble:p

Just beautifully relaxing image - you've captured the Zen of Fly Fishing (there is so much common ground with photography). [EDIT:] Had to reset my Router. You are so good with light - what I wouldn't give to live where a "typical small town scene" includes mountains.
OK - this weekend I mount an adaptall and show you my landscapes (the sun is finally back atfer 10 weeks of sabbatical).
My wife's family is spread out from Canton, NY to Burlington, VT, with some Wooster, MA and Lake Winnipesaukee thrown in for good measure. Once in the early 90's I fished the Ausable at Lake Placid. By that time in my life I was pleased to just be on the water, but it was especially enjoyable because I had brought along a vintage cane rod. The experience was something like getting the Sightseeing Screwmount (woof's Asahi Pentax SV that is traveling the Western Hemisphere) to shoot a few rolls or one of these Tammy's on this thread - less about the outcome and more about the experience (although I did catch my first Brook Trout that day).

I need to drive about 4 hours to enter Ozark Mountains of South Cnetral Missouri and Northern arkansas. In my younger days I fly fished there but I haven't been recently. You've given me a thought . . .

Lovely view and exposure - the clouds are as a painting! I wish I lived near such a view.

I was 12 - my mother took me to the ballpark with two folding chairs and we sat up all night to get bleacher seats. I think of that summer as the end of innocence - probably for all of us. :ugh:
You have coaxed some beautiful images out of your cameras today. I just acquired an Auto-Tak 55/1.8 (from the Takumar thread) but I haven't had a roll of film in the K that came with it yet. I have a high standard to acheive as of today. :D

JT - just want to say you are one of the nicest posters on the Forum and I look forward to your images and insights. I can even appreciate the Red Sox emblem for your pride in them, despite our enduring pain over 2004 :D

Love it!
Got outyesterday, but with the 70~210 and a Tak. Have some amazing CA to PP from the Tammy.
It stays warm enough for insects here for another 6 weeks or so. Guess we need some aphids to attract the mantids
The tree and ground squirrels are storing their acorns. There is a light crop this year so maybe the winter will be milder than recently.

Thank you - I'm not quite sure what to think of your shot, Andi. My college-age daughters watch DVD's of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" over and over -> looks like one of the demons - very sharp for a shot of a (I hope ) toy!!
Yhanks Javier - I'm learning. When I finish up these new film rolls and get them scanned I'll post to one of your film threads (B&W or Street, whichever is correct)!!
Thank you, heliphoto - that's my first "Well Done" !! Everything you see in the image was learned here. I'm starting to "see" pictures and I selected that angle out of an entire, large bush of blooms - they actually came out within striking distance of what I tried to do :).
Now it is time to accelerate my challenges with confidence - as someone said on a gear thread, time to stop hunting lenses and start hunting images

Got a lens in the mail this afternoon - unexpectedly fast shipping!
Tamron Adaptall-2 SP #01A 35~80 f/2.8~3.8 High Speed CF Macro Zoom. Really too windy for this so I'll try again with a tripod at first light tomorrow. I think this is going to be a very special lens.
Nothing bu curves in PPB and slight Unsharp Mask after resizing - really!!
