My point is even we reflexively make jokes about Pentax AF. You have to play on the idea that everybody ‘knows’ Pentax AF is horrible to make the joke work. (Yeah, Pentax AF may actually be pretty good - but Pentax AF is awful! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA). It’s the accepted wisdom and there’s no turning back from it. Even we do it.

See, that’s the kind of sardonic, smirking, baseless comment that even Pentax Loyalists reflexively make - having just read comments and reports that say Pentax AF is better than credited!! Not at all helpful.
