Can it also be assumed that with focus peaking and manual lenses that there is no focus confirmation for when the chosen/configured focus point is considered in focus?

Somewhat related, somewhat digressing...
Does the A3000 feature focus peaking through the EVF or only through the larger LCD?

DxOMark have posted their test results for the Sony A3000. I know that these test results are a single indication of performance (vs. the definitive indication) but they are impressive! When I compared them to my K-30 I see similar performance but with an extra 4 MP of sensor resolution. The results also come close to our beloved and recently released K-3. What makes this impressive to me is the low cost of the camera with a lens! Isn't it going for $348 nowadays to get people hooked into the lens system? Side by side - DxOMark
Of course, I understand that real world shooting is the ultimate test and there have been some complaints about IQ and artifacts. Also, the LCD and the EVF are very low resolution which can cripple the shooting experience. So, it's not a bed of roses from beginning to end. Still, it's stuff like this that would make me tell someone to at least check this camera out if they are looking for something new.
