Great pictures and I agree that those are also great scans!

No, not bad at all.
You could do a series on reflections and I think it would be awesome :)

I agree with manntax - I've come to really like your style, LFLee :)
I have to say I'm sure you're very proud, Swift. Your daughter's photographic skills and the ability to convey a mood transcend a cheap lens and expired common film. I'm touched by this picture she took.

I'm the furthest thing from a pro, but I like your unusual light. People usually get the light "right" - or what they think is supposed to be right - and then lift up the details in the shadows. Well, your picture already has that! I think the dynamic range worked very well (film helps of course). And this ended up being by far my favorite picture in the set. The first one comes close.
Great set :) I bet your girlfriend is happy! ---------- Post added 09-25-14 at 01:58 PM ----------
As always, you get the best out of those Ektar colors... great composition, perfect light.

That looks great, baro-nite. Rookie's luck on that light? Can't wait to see what else you come up with :)

Pablom, that is film photography at its best, as far as I am concerned. It's like I am there. Amazing. Thank you for sharing these!

All I can say is wow. Great job! That is a fantastic set, how you set it up. I'd love to see 5 big canvas prints of this on a wall!

PetroT, wonderful pictures. That Portra 800 set is very 3D, I love it.
I've said this before - I could honestly sell everything I have and get a Pentax 6x7 or 67 with the 105mm f/2.4 and be perfectly happy for the rest of my life.

I think I would be happy with a Pentax 67 and the 105/2.4 for the rest of my life if that was all I could ever have. I've probably seen more exciting pictures taken with that combo than with anything else.
Well done!

Stunning portrait, Colton. You put that 67 to good use.

Ok that is the cost of developing + scanning. Printing is more. If I had a scanner it would be about 8 bucks per roll, but I don't shoot that much, so a scanner is not worth it to save 2-4 bucks a month, if that.
Well maybe your area is better served... it used to cost less here in Atlanta just a few months ago, but that's the cost now. Even Walgreens here will charge more than that. Costco doesn't develop anymore, and Walmart only does prints and doesn't return your negatives. Dunwoody Photo is the only game in town other than Walgreens as far as I'm concerned, but at least they are very good at what they do. And they're cheaper than Walgreens, too.
Mail order companies will cost about the same by the time shipping is factored in, unless I do a lot of rolls in one time...

Here in the US film can be had, at BHPhoto for example, for 1.79 a roll of 24 exposures of Fujifilm 200. Which is not a bad film.
I started using only 36 exposure film cost to develop is the same as 24, usually. Ektar 100 costs 5.50 and Kodak 135 ISO 400 costs 2.79 a roll. I bought some but haven't used it yet. They have an Agfa 200 film for 2.50 a roll that I haven't tried yet, I'm going to get one in my next order to see what it's like. Agfa ISO 400 is 2.90
Developing is the biggest cost - usually around 10 bucks per roll...
