Ken on sharpness: Amateurs waste too much time worrying about lens sharpness, and since this lens is designed for amateurs, it's super sharp.
I think there could be a burgeoning market in putting these little platitudes on refrigerator magnets, coffee cups, and whatnot.

I was reading his review of the Sigma 18-35 f/1.8 (Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 Review), and noticed this: The hood is included.
Hoods are for sissies. Hoods haven't been needed since lenses became coated — in the 1950s!
I'd leave either a 72mm Nikon Clear (NC - UV) filter, a 72mm Hoya Alpha MC UV or bulletproof 72mm Hoya HD2 UV on the lens at all times.
I know that he sometimes says stupid stuff just to drive page views, but is he doing so just to be a contrarian, or does he actually believe what he writes?
