Your best bet is to use TAv mode IMO. I shoot a lot of HS sports (soccer, basketball, hockey) and it's they only way to go :). Set your shutter speed and aperture as appropriate and let the camera adjust ISO on the fly. Tip though, for me setting the max ISO allwoed to 6400 works best.
